Eliezer's life is in darkness. Darkness portrays fear and hopelessness. He is lost, confused, and see's only dark around him. He see's no goodness, or hope. Only black. He doesn't even consider himself a man. He is a black flame in his eyes. He has no soul. He see's nothing good in the world. He is surrounded by hatred.
